The submitted information will be used for the purpose of administering the Apiculture registration system. No personal information will be shared except for specified purposes under written contract with agencies for the protection or betterment of the beekeeping community.

Please note:

  • Pursuant to the provisions of the Bee Act, Sections 3 and 4(1), honeybees must be kept in a registered apiary.
  • This registration meets the requirements of the Bee Act and has no bearing on any municipal or district bylaws governing the keeping of honeybees. Please check with local authorities for any restrictions pertaining to honeybees.
  • Apiaries with 20 hives or more are recommended to be at least 3 km apart.

If your apiary is registered at the same address as your place of residence and if you change your place of residence and take your hives with you, the new residence location must be registered as an apiary location within fifteen (15) days as required under Section 4 of the Bee Act.
